Understanding Community Objections

Overall, the above graph is very promising for all nuclear power enthusiasts (who, according to this study, seem to growing in number). The concerns of the 32 percent, however, is the more important figure to understand so as to settle any discomfort and to decide whether or not that discomfort is validated.

The initial answer to why people wouldn't like nuclear power was just about what I expected. According to Bisconti's 2016 questionnaire, 35 percent of all negative comments concerning nuclear power (answers to question 11 if you wanted to look directly at the questionnaire) had to do with it being dangerous or unsafe. Some of the other comments had to do with the lack of solution for nuclear waste disposal and having more practical options for power in solar energy or hydroelectricity.

This may or may not be the global or even national consensus, but from the evidence I have delved into so far, "nuclear power is dangerous" seems to be the prevailing objection of the opposition.
